Engagement Parties! Hurray!

Congratulations on your engagement! Now, to TELL everyone!
Usually held one or two months after your proposal, the engagement party is a way to either introduce your two families to one another, or to join your families for the very first celebration confirming your dedication to one another. Usually this party is hosted by and at one of your parents homes, a close friend may choose to host it, or you two can provide the place. Remember that these days an engagement party is not really necessary, so don't stress if you decide to omit this party, but do give your families as way to get together and celebrate your engagement.
